Role Overview

A Community Care Worker provides person‑centred support to individuals living in their own homes, helping them maintain independence, dignity, and quality of life. The role involves delivering practical, emotional, and social support tailored to each person’s needs while promoting safety, wellbeing, and choice.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide personal care such as washing, dressing, toileting, and grooming in a respectful and dignified manner.
  • Support with medication prompts or administration in line with care plans and organisational policies.
  • Assist with meal preparation, hydration, and nutritional needs.
  • Carry out light household tasks, including cleaning, laundry, and shopping, to help maintain a safe home environment.
  • Offer companionship, emotional support, and encouragement to reduce loneliness and promote wellbeing.
  • Support individuals to attend appointments, social activities, or community events.
  • Follow care plans accurately and record all care delivered using appropriate documentation or digital systems.
  • Monitor and report any changes in health, behaviour, or home environment to senior staff.
  • Maintain excellent infection control and safeguarding practices at all times.
  • Work collaboratively with families, colleagues, and healthcare professionals to ensure consistent, high‑quality care.

We are a family-run homecare agency serving the Medway communities, and we’re looking for kind, caring, and compassionate people to join our fabulous team. We provide daily support to individuals who need help with personal care and everyday tasks such as household chores and shopping. No experience is needed as we provide full training. We support clients in their own homes, so access to a car is desirable but not essential. Mileage and public transport costs are covered.

 We offer NVQs, online qualifications, a pension scheme, uniforms, and a variety of shifts to fit around your family life. 

No experience necessary as full training is provided.

We service people in their own homes so having access to a car would be desirable although not essential. We pay a mileage payment 40Pp per mile and public transport provisions.

Rotas and medication are on a dedicated app for all carers to use. 

NVQs and online qualifications are available.

Pension scheme is available.

Uniforms provided.

We have various shift patterns to suit your needs and to enable you to work around family commitments. 

We are currently looking for people who can work in the evenings from 4.30pm onwards till 9pm. But all shift types will be accepted.

We do require the successful applicant to be able to work alternative weekends.

We have regular meetings and staff appraisals; we encourage our staff to work independently and encourage progression throughout our company.

We have team leaders who will support and encourage your development, senior staff are available and active in the communities with you.

Positions are subject to DBS checks and References.
